This was my oldest's favorite book, I can recite it by memory and thr book has been gone for at least 2 years, he wanted the book read to him over and over and he ruined the book。 I need a new copy for my youngest。 It's perfect for 0-2 years。 This was my oldest's favorite book, I can recite it by memory and thr book has been gone for at least 2 years, he wanted the book read to him over and over and he ruined the book。 I need a new copy for my youngest。 It's perfect for 0-2 years。 。。。more

Big Fish Little Fish is greatly written and illustrated。 This book is loaded with symbolism and metaphors, which are great to introduce into the classroom。

Litton teaches the reader about opposites with this colourful fishy tale。Not bad but the opposite of the brilliance of the baby 101 series really!Still holding out hope of finding more gold from Mr。 Litton。

For young toddlers, this sturdy board book with fish cut out shapes is a great book。 It is short enough to mostly hold their attention spans, and the bright colorful images will keep them entertained。 I read this with a 2 year old, and we talked about the different colors of fish on each page (he is learning his colors)。 I think he truly enjoyed the book because after we finished reading it, he opened it right back up to look at more fish pictures。 Sturdy books like this are the best for young k For young toddlers, this sturdy board book with fish cut out shapes is a great book。 It is short enough to mostly hold their attention spans, and the bright colorful images will keep them entertained。 I read this with a 2 year old, and we talked about the different colors of fish on each page (he is learning his colors)。 I think he truly enjoyed the book because after we finished reading it, he opened it right back up to look at more fish pictures。 Sturdy books like this are the best for young kids to hold, because they are not always very careful with pages and can rip them easily。 。。。more

This colorful book is great to enhance hand eye coordination, encourage parent/child interaction, develop reading skills, and promote language development。 The colors and the cutouts are great to look at and kids will be engaged looking at the illustrations as being intrigued by learning the different fish under the sea。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I didn't feel like there was a story but then the last page made it feel like all the previous pages were supposed to be telling a story。 I loved the pictures but didn't really get why the fish at the end was crying。 Is there a moral of the story here? Is this book trying to make a point or just trying to show there are ocean creatures of all shapes and sizes? Such fun to use in early childhood "under the sea" units and also when learning about opposites。 Pleasing rhymes, colorful illustrations, and die-cut pages are all part of the fun! Board Book 1Big Fish Little Fish – 2016Big Fish Little Fish is a board book with a deep cut-out section through the middle of the pages。 Like a lot of board books, it rhymes and describes what is on the page – a colored fish and its friend。 With each page you turn, the fish in the story gets smaller and smaller (to match the cut-out) until the very end, when one red fish is left all alone。 It turns out that all the other fish were gathering to throw red fish a party! This book would be a good pick for toddlers。 While it has some slightly complex vocabulary (“swordfish” and “hammerhead” are above the heads of most toddlers), the cut-out section makes it more interesting, and it’s very vibrant and colorful to grab the attention of toddlers。 。。。more

I like that the book teaches opposites and has the fun cut outs。 It felt a bit awkward to read out loud at times。

Simple, bright book with ocean themed teaching opposites as well as sea creatures。 My son (2) enjoyed it。

#ReadToNiblingThe text is fun, though I cringed a little at the opening spread's text: "Eel is shaped just like a snake -- he's long and very wiggly。 Yellow fish is short and sweet -- she's beautiful and giggly。"Most of the sea creatures are un-gendered -- there's a female anglerfish who stays up late reading, and a lonely male red fish who gets a surprise party, but that's it。 I appreciate that except for the opening spread, none of the gendering feels stereotypical。The rhyming text works well, #ReadToNiblingThe text is fun, though I cringed a little at the opening spread's text: "Eel is shaped just like a snake -- he's long and very wiggly。 Yellow fish is short and sweet -- she's beautiful and giggly。"Most of the sea creatures are un-gendered -- there's a female anglerfish who stays up late reading, and a lonely male red fish who gets a surprise party, but that's it。 I appreciate that except for the opening spread, none of the gendering feels stereotypical。The rhyming text works well, and the illustrations are bright -- and there are usually other sea creatures in the background, if you want to practice some sea creature vocabulary with your kiddo (turtle, sea horse, crab, etc。)。 。。。more

The book is perfect for little kidddos! The book is bright and colorful which I feel will be very appealing。 The book has the fish cutout all the way through and the book is made sturdy for the kids to handle。 I like that this book points out how different the fish are, some are slow some are fast。 I think that this is a good tool to use to build on differences children may notice about one another。 I feel that the little rhymes it has builds on children's literacy skills by hearing the similari The book is perfect for little kidddos! A board book about opposites starring vibrant cartoony fish。 Good read aloud for Toddlers。

This board book is cleverly designed to expose youngsters to different colors although it doesn't explicitly teach those colors while delivering a positive message about competition and friendship。 I would have liked to have had the colors labeled, but I did like how each of the die-cuts got increasingly smaller as the pages were turned。 Youngsters will enjoy sticking their fingers into the outline of the fish。 This board book is cleverly designed to expose youngsters to different colors although it doesn't explicitly teach those colors while delivering a positive message about competition and friendship。 I would have liked to have had the colors labeled, but I did like how each of the die-cuts got increasingly smaller as the pages were turned。 Youngsters will enjoy sticking their fingers into the outline of the fish。 。。。more
